Thom’s mix of both technical and business experience will help SmashFly bring advanced personalization, intelligence and targeting capabilities unlike anything else seen in the marketplace today. His experience in building transformative teams has resulted in significant market success most recently at LogMeIn and Applause.

Mike has been an industry innovator in recruiting technology for the past 15 years. In the late ‘90s, he conceived, designed and built the first web-based talent management system at HireSystems/BrassRing, now part of IBM Kenexa ─ still used today by scores of Fortune 500 companies. Mike founded SmashFly in 2007 to pioneer a new category of HR technology focused on managing candidate leads before they apply. He’s an expert in the recruitment marketing space and helps organizations leverage best-practice strategies and technologies to build out successful recruiting marketing programs and processes.
Prior to BrassRing, Mike was co-founder and CEO of Millennium Productions, an Internet ISP based in Cambridge, Mass., where he led the technology, sales and client services groups.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Scott is SmashFly’s eyes and ears in the market — monitoring evolving trends in the HCM market, developing relationships with corporate and business development teams, while still contributing to our strategic global sales efforts on the largest, high growth opportunities with his team. Scott has more than 25 years of experience in technology, software, and business services, and he has held leadership positions with a variety of then-emergent HR solution providers, including CareerBuilder, Taleo, SuccessFactors and HireVue. Beyond his role as a sales leader, Scott is driven by the opportunity to strategically work with business leaders to help them attract, hire, develop, and retain the best people.

With more than 20 years of experience managing operations for high-growth technology companies and international consultancies, Marisa is responsible for leading SmashFly’s finance, human resource and administrative functions. Before joining SmashFly, Marisa was Chief Financial Officer at Basho Technologies, where she was instrumental in the company’s worldwide growth and obtaining several rounds of financing. Prior to Basho, Marisa held financial management positions at Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), TIAX and Arthur D. Little.

Ted Ruscitti

Ted Ruscitti leads SmashFly’s customer success organization across education and training, technical services, account management and implementation. He’s been supporting enterprise customers in their implementation of SaaS-based software solutions for more than 15 years. After assembling and leading BrassRing’s original implementation team, Ted went on to scale his global organization to include all customer-facing, product-focused functions including training, technical consulting and BrassRing’s world-class support operation. Ted was BrassRing’s Vice President of Technical Services through the time it was acquired by Kenexa in 2006. Ted most recently served as Senior Director at Oracle over a global services practice for more than 3 years.

With over 10 years of high-tech startups, and over 20 years aligning operational and strategic changes with technology changes, Alex has deep experience driving company growth. Prior to SmashFly, Alex was the Chief Information Officer at Imprivata. Alex also held Chief Information Officer / Technology executive roles at Symbotic, Endeca, and Eaton Vance Management.

As SmashFly’s Chief Technology Officer, Jon oversees global technology and product operations for the business, and he’s dedicated to delivering and managing our award-winning recruitment platform. Jon leads a team of experts in engineering, operations, and security, who work diligently to bring innovative solutions to our customers. From his previous role at Monster, he brings considerable domain knowledge about the talent acquisition space, with a background delivering human capital products at-scale by driving operational excellence. Jon previously served as the CISO and VP of Technical Operations for SmashFly.

Karla leads the company’s product management team, which includes user experience and design. She has gained an immense depth and breadth of product management expertise across many different industries and companies throughout her career. Karla’s passionate about building products with a customer-centric approach and loves working with forward-thinking startups who like to push the boundaries of innovation. As the VP of Product Management, Karla looks to drive the execution of great products and lead the SmashFly platform to include artificial intelligence, machine learning and personalization. Her experience in helping companies experiencing rapid growth is most notable at Intralinks and Notarize.

Josh leads SmashFly’s marketing team, working directly with a team of creative and operational pros who manage all aspects of SmashFly’s brand, thought leadership, demand generation, sales enablement, and product marketing. Josh previously served in sales enablement and product marketing roles with SmashFly, and he’s passionate about helping companies better communicate their story — who they are, what they believe, and how they help a particular market solve real, meaningful challenges. Prior to SmashFly, Josh ran his own business, worked with a Boston-based venture capital firm that defined thought leadership in its space, and worked in an operational role at a marketing technology startup.
