Our team has over 40 years of combined experience in the HR technology space from leading the development of the first Applicant Tracking System to running a profitable recruiting business to managing one of the largest ATS products in the market today. 2007: SmashFly is Born
Here are the highlights:
- We launch our Global Job Distribution and Recruitment Marketing Metrics solutions.
- Without formal partnerships with the major ATS companies, we develop our patent pending Marketing Links enabling recruiters to seamlessly launch job campaigns from any ATS.
- Most importantly, we partner with our first (awesome) clients. All of whom are still with us.
2008: We help clients build their Talent Networks
Here are the highlights:
- In response to market trends, we launch our Talent Network Forms enabling candidates to opt-in directly during apply process. This leads to clients building up 1,000's of qualified recruiting contacts in their Talent Networks that they've used to reduce time to hire and overall job ad spend.
- We add Social Media channels and Google SEM to our Global Job Distribution solution to address need for distributing & most importantly tracking social recruiting efforts.
2009 & 2010: The Recruitment Marketing Platform gets closer to fruition
Here are the Highlights:
- First version of our Recruitment CRM Database is made available.
- Two years after founding, SmashFly gives clients get first look at our Recruitment Marketing Platform that includes Global Job Distribution, Recruitment Metrics and Recruitment CRM.

Launch our API for ATS companies and other 3rd party developers that leads to meaningful partnerships.
2011: Building a better Recruitment CRM
Here are the highlights:
- We go into Beast Mode and add a number of significant features to our Recruitment CRM.
- We are now able to say we offer an industry leading CRM as part of our Platform. Most importantly, it is integrated with our existing Global Job Distribution, Recruitment Marketing Metrics and Talent Network Forms providing more opportunities for our clients to build their candidate databases and gain visibility into their recruitment strategy.
- We launch our Mobile Recruiting solution that offers a unique way of sourcing candidates into your CRM using mobile enabled Talent Network forms launched by simple QR codes. Clients love it and use it to capture contacts at networking events and career fairs.
Late 2011: Career Site SEO becomes part of Platform; unique ATS integrations
Here are the highlights:
- We built integrations with ATS companies including Taleo & Kenexa that enable bi-directional contact sharing with our Recruitment CRM and ATS metrics & data with our Integrated Pipeline Reports. This enables clients to capture the most important recruitment metrics as well as all their recruiting contacts in one centralized system. Available with any ATS.
- Career Marketing Sites (CMS) is launched to much fanfare with our clients.
2012 & Beyond: Continued Innovation & Customer Satisfaction
- Recruiting Analytic Dashboards are launched to much fanfare with our clients
- We continue to listen to our customers and gauge industry trends to build out our Platform.
- We help customers drive recruiting excellence in their organizations, helping them find qualified talent for a fraction of the cost.
